VOICE OF THE NILE
The Nile is the worlds longest river, and the lifeblood of ten countries in Africa. The Nile’s scarce resources are under threat from climate change, soil erosion, pollution and population increase. As is so often the case, it is the poorest who are the most vulnerable to changes in their environment.
And it is also they who have the least say in the future of the river. The Voice of the Nile programme aims to give the poorest and most marginalised communities who depend upon the Nile an active and influential voice in its future.
